Chasing the Impossible
Rimac’s Nevera pushes beyond the limits of speed, turning physics into a challenge rather than a boundary. In Faster Than Gravity, the world’s first all-electric hypercar faces a singular test: from a standstill, could it reach its mark before a wrecking ball, released from the same height at the same moment, strikes the ground?
At a remote dry lakebed, a Rimac crew works through the early hours, monitoring instruments, refining calculations, and preparing for a moment where precision and performance must meet in perfect harmony. The hum of equipment, the glow of monitors, and the stillness before the launch set the tone for a spectacle built on both engineering and execution.

Bringing the Vision to Life
Working alongside director Jono Seneff, our team approached this production with the same focus and coordination as the story itself demanded. The film crew mirrored the intensity of the on-screen team, working against the forces of time and light to secure each shot within a narrow window.
We designed and built a fully functioning basecamp environment, complete with server racks, monitors, control stations, and technical props that grounded the scene in authenticity. Every choice — from practical lighting placement to the layout of the set — was made to serve the world we were creating. It was an environment where every detail felt deliberate, and every frame carried the weight of preparation.

Crafting the Sequence
The desert location offered a dramatic backdrop and a challenging schedule. Multiple scouts allowed us to map the movement of the sun, identify the most dynamic vantage points, and plan for exact moments of optimal light. We rehearsed every move in advance, supported by 3D previsualizations, precise shot lists, and detailed overhead diagrams.
A diverse camera setup allowed us to balance motion with control: jib rigs for sweeping arcs, dollies for measured tracking, handheld for immediacy, and static tripod shots for stability. At dawn, we shaped the natural light with negative fill and diffusion, while the later scenes drew their atmosphere from glowing monitors, LED accents, and deep red practicals that ran through the basecamp.
Calibrate
Every readout, every number, every frame brought into alignment.
Preparing for the Moment
Every element of the sequence relied on timing. Just as the Nevera had to reach its mark at the exact instant, we had to work within an equally precise framework to capture the moment. Every angle was planned, every cue rehearsed, and visual effects elements were tested ahead of time to ensure a seamless integration during post-production.
Before the Break
A stillness heavy with what’s to come.
Where It Lands
When the sequence played out, all the work, planning, and coordination came together. The energy on set matched the intensity of the scene, and the finished film carries that momentum forward. The combination of performance, environment, and cinematic execution delivers a spectacle that lives up to its name — Faster Than Gravity.
